Hello!
I'm happy that you're looking into our church.
Are you new in town? Have you just heard about us? Either way – welcome!
Peace Lutheran Church has been a part of Milbank since 1983. That might not seem like a long time to you, but day by day that record grows. We're blessed to have a beautiful property on the east side of town in a beautiful little neighborhood behind Morningside Drive. Our current building dates to 2013.
Better than that, we're blessed to have active members with smiling faces and personal gifts ranging from farming to physical therapy. They're employees and employers, academics and mechanics. But mostly, they're just great people. And we have good fellowship.
Better than all of it, though, is the fact that we have the gospel. “Gospel” is a word that means good news, and it's what we're all about here at Peace. You see, besides being good people with a nice place to meet, we're also people with problems and people with histories. Frankly, we're sinners. (That's the way the Bible says it, so we do too.) And the “good news” that we're here to learn, re-learn, practice and celebrate is that God has loved us nonetheless, and he's gone all the way to fix it. You can read all about it in the Bible. John 3:16 is a good place to start.
But why not join us for worship, too? Services are at 9:00 on Sunday mornings, and if you've got any doubts about coming or questions about where we stand, feel free to contact me. My cell number is 517-581-3692, and I won't mind a bit.
God grant you peace!
Pastor Albert Meier
